Carrie & Gus

I am a single Mom to two, and consider my horse, GRM Midnight Flaire, aka Gus, as a member of our family. So to me finding a barn to board my boy at that would consider him as one of their own was a must.  I have been to several local barns in the Lincoln area and Lincoln Equestrian Center, LEC, by far outshines the others I have boarded at. Margo, Zack and Karen treat not only my boy Gus, but myself,  and my family, like family.  To know someone is paying attention to Gus's needs and changes, and has an experienced eye for concerns allows me to not worry that something  will get missed when it comes to his health and comfort.

A great example of the ever caring attitude at this barn was exemplified not that long ago, when I received notification from Margo that my boy was kicking at his sides violently, Margo reassured me she would keep a watchful eye on him throughout the day and because she knows Gus so well at this point in time. She thought, “let's take his heavy winter coat off and see if that's the reason for the fuss.”  Low and behold,  that was exactly what he wanted, and he calmed after that, Margo, keeping me posted as this all developed, so I was not to worry or have a vet out for something that was resolved with a simple solution, expertly made.

I can't imagine going anywhere else, Gus and I have found our barn family/community for what I hope will be many years down the road.

Rose & Twizzler

When I made the move to Lincoln from Manhattan, KS, I needed to find a new barn to board my mare. There were many different options available, but I needed one where first and foremost I knew my horse would be well cared for, whether or not I had to be there often or not. I visited many barns before making my decision and I’m glad I chose Lincoln Equestrian Center. I can rest easy even if I know I can’t make it to the barn.

Another factor was a mellow and low stress environment for my horse and myself. I’m an adult amateur who doesn’t enjoy a highly competitive or chaotic environment. A must for me is somewhere I can just ride and casually hang out with my horse and other like minded horse people.

While my main focus when choosing a boarding barn was the level of care for my horse, Margo has also been an amazing Dressage trainer as well. I certainly never have “easy” horses and I appreciate a trainer who is willing to work with making the best out of the horse you have instead of pushing you to buy something else.

HaLEY & ZEUS

Margo and Zack, along with their wonderful staff have done an amazing job at creating an atmosphere of safety and care for all of the horses at Lincoln Equestrian Center. Margo, Zack and Karen are consistently monitoring the horse’s throughout the day and at night. Margo actually saved my horses life by checking his grain/hay later at night. She noticed he had only pecked at his grain which is extremely abnormal and was in the early stages of colic. Her consistent checks saved my horses life and I am endlessly grateful! They have always been there to listen to my questions and are quick to answer them. You will not find better quality horse care anywhere else!
